Dear coach Wooden I'm going to introduce you to a very interesting old man on a voyage. His name is Santiago. He is an old fisherman on a trip, this will be his last trip. Santiago is determined to catch something this time. I Believe Santiago is worthy of being recruited by yourself, he has confidence, skill, and intentness. You should defiantly recruit this man. Santiago has allot of confidence going on this trip. He is so positive he will catch something, he wont think twice about not going. Santiago says, " I love you and respect you very much. But I will kill you dead before the day ends." This large unknown fish is pulling Santiago along into the middle of nowhere. Santiago will not give up. He has not even seen the fish, but Santiago is so confident he just won't let this one go. Confidence is a very important trait to have. Santiago is also very skilled. When it comes to fishing, Santiago is the one to talk to. This passage shows Santiago's skill, " He let the line slip through his fingers while he reached down with his left hand and made fast the free end of the two reserve coils to the loop of the two had three forty-fathom coils of line in reserve now, as well as the coil he was using." This passage explains Santiago's skill he has with his hands. He uses his hands very distinctively to prepare for the fight of his life. This skill is Santiago's trade he has learned. You need this type of skill when fighting such a big fish. During the trip Santiago ran into some problems. This didn't stop him. Santiago kept on track and went for his goal. Santiago has allot of intent. Santiago says, " God help me to have the cramp go", he said, "because I do not know what the fish is going to do". Even though Santiago is in pain and suffering, he keeps on going. He will stop at nothing to reach his goal. Santiago is full with intent to catch this fish. Coach W...
